From Camping to Glamping, to building a shed.
Welcome to Blocklife
Our story begins with the search for a block of land in the bush, starting on the coastline of Northern New South Wales, then moving inland, in accordance with our budget. Further in we go, and a little further until coming to rest on the stunning and very cool granite belt.
Blocklife clambers over every rock, hillside, peak and gully, chronicling our successes and failures. Landscape metaphors abound! There’s also a lot of cooking over fires, avoiding bush fires, watching amazing sunsets, rescuing lambs, building, digging, partying and constantly, desperately seeking water.
This blog is by no means a ‘How To’ guide, in fact for the most part it’s a clear example of what not to do. We’ve learned a lot through trial and error and are prepared to learn a lot more.
